The lone cross-country race in the entire Grand-Prix Series is the ever-popular St. Michael’s Jolly Elf Trail Run 5K. Now in its sixth year, the race will be held on Saturday, December 8, at Bond Park in Cary. Run in the New Year (RITNY) – December 31
The final race of this year’s Second Empire Grand-Prix Series just happens to be on the final day of 2012. The Run in the New Year 5k will be held on December 31st at the Cary Towne Center at the stroke of midnight. What better way to bring in the New Year than with a late-night race! Participants will run on a well-lit course that starts at Cary Towne Center’s food court. The course will loop around the Andy Foundation’s Miracle League baseball filed and the mall. For safety reasons, pets, in-line skates, bicycles, and headphones are not allowed in the race. Also remember that parking at Bond Park is limited. So if you wish to park inside the Park, please arrive early and park in designated spots only. Additional parking is available at St. Michael church.
Saturday, December 1 – Registration opens at 7:15 am
